I just wanted to write this short post to say that I’m seeing Democrat politicians using generative AI far too much in their social media posts. You can’t claim to support the Arts & Entertainment sector, small businesses, strong environmental protections, job growth, and people over profits while at the same time using the purposefully unregulated slop machine to crank out your messaging!
STOP BEING FUCKING HYPOCRITES! The only Democrat politician I’ve seen even mentioning this tech is Kat Abughazaleh running for US House of Reps, IL, D9. I’m not sure of her stance on it because I’ve just seen her have to point out the multi-million dollar AIPAC smear campaign using AI slop to outright lie about her. Political ads that are demonstrably false should be grounds for fines and imprisonment, not just libel or slander, but false advertising and felony political tampering (which is a thing I probably just made up but reflects the seriousness I consider such a thing as LYING IN POLITICAL ADS).
